Prompt
“Don’t waste trouble.” – Jordan Hoggard
On Writing
Breathe the sentence in. Exhale the sentence. Inhale and exhale each word. Now inhale and exhale the sentence. Then, go!
There is only one rule, keep your hand moving.
Don’t worry about grammar, spelling, or punctuation. If you feel stuck, keep writing anyway. Try going back to the prompt and write it out until other words arise, then write those—or, repeat the last word you wrote again and again until new words appear—or, write, “I am stuck,” or “I can’t think of anything,” as long as you keep your hand moving. Writing is physical, the words will move through your body and come out of your hand—just keep it moving.
Now go – for five, ten, fifteen minutes . .
(when you are done, feel free to share your work in the comments – or share on your own blog)
Checking back in on this one to see…
COOL.E.O! Zero comments!
9 solid Likes, though, and I guess people are out there not wasting trouble and getting stuff done using your prompt! That’s a great “9-zero,” as maybe those 9 (+3) are zero-ing in. There could be the other hand to the stat, though I won’t go there — not-things are best left in their not-land. Solid OFL For me either way — Opportunity For Learning. Good to know 9+3 are out there not wasting their trouble. Hopefully, they’re juicing up and fueling with it, and capitalizing on it, too.
Alternately, people may have set it up to steep on their own time with zero need for any false sense of urgency, as it’s THEIR time, ON their time. Thanks for posting this, Holly. 🙂

Yup! It speaks for itself, and like watching a creation after graduation… go baybee go. I can only be proud.

I think it’s a wonderful quote! It’s become part of the Chakra Quote project, too. I out it under the first chakra – though I think it goes well under the third.

I imagine our comment conversation – and eventually aha exchange is going to produce some good ones.

Lol… Funny you say that, Holly. I had a blog idea tonight right as I started my evening blog field trip to serendipitously discover stuff… It’ll publish soon once I check the Void Tables. 🙂
That’s wayyyy cool that it’s become part of the Chakra Quote project! Under the 1st is good, though I feel it’s more settled in the 3rd. As well. It also goes well in the 0 Chakra between the feet on the ground, if you work with that one?
Going to check out the link now.

When I began the project, no, but in recent years I’ve expanded the chakras up to 12 – doing meditations on that – but have also looked at some energetic stuff that goes into some large numbers.
Curious about the 0 – is that energy between the two feet, or between the feet and the ground.

The Earth-Star chakra about 18” below the feet, helpful to drain out negative energies… especially when Obsidian is present — like in Santa Fe, NM. Untended, it can as well be a leaky lower boundary that is unseen contributing to a “WTF why can’t I power up, why can I pressurize fully?” Because it’s unseen underground. I think people who leap a lot or do gymnastics or hang-gliding, etc where one isn’t ON the ground, and they may very well become aware and attuned to it.

I call the 0 chakra. Technically, it’s the Earth-Star Chakra, and ay not have a number assigned.

so cool – thanks for the link!
I wonder about people who sleep on the second floor. someone once told me I should make sure I sleep on the first floor, or that my bed is close to earth.

Yes, on the 2nd floor. I sleep on the 2nd floor. I feel it important to get AWAY from the earth in dreams rather than be nestled too deeply in it. Though, of course, when I camp, it’s MORE invigorating. Lol
I associate the Earth-Star chakra with The Fool. Not 0, but O, the un-squared circle of Alchemy, vast and infinite potential. I link up this Irish Proverb to it: “May the ground rise up to support your every step.” Especially, in times where there was no ground there when you began to step — leap of faith. Like The Darkness RIsing of the Night, the O Chakra is a darkness (solid earth) rising up through our feet.
I did not state it overtly, though alluded to this in my 4 of Pentacles video with, “where the ground you walk on is as inspirational as the stars in your sky”:

As it should. Like a garden:
1st year roots.
2nd year foliage.
3rd year flowers and fruit.
And, year 4 starts the naturalization process of the perennials that thrivingly made it.

ANd, LOL, creative projects may follow that garden analogy, though sometimes don’t take that long. Sometimes take longer. Ike you expressed, “It’s out there free to flow and grow.”
