Sunset Portal –

stepping through to another dimension.

So much fun having a night ride with friends! Good for the soul! – June 16, 2019

This photo is from last year on this day. I felt like I stepped through a portal – looking out between the pines.

Today – my friend Patrick shared this with me:

“Between every two pine trees there is a
door leading to a new way of life.”

New Way of Life

A new way of life indeed. I had just given notice at the university due to a toxic work environment and decided – now is the time to be the full-on artist/thought experimenter I promised my child self I would become once I was a “free” adult.

So here I am. Stepping into the role I imagined for myself. Day after day – and – one day at a time – while continually imagining the future and taking action in the present from the future place, rather than the past. It seems like my natural way of doing things – imagining and then acting from the imaginary place/time in the present moment.

It is fun to look back though! The tranquility of the landscape reminds me it’s ok to really be here now. The journey is the destination!

What a trip!

  1. The saturation of the blues feels like Delphinium on steroids. So intensely vibrant, beautiful.

Thanks to Albert Saijo for finding and gifting that to you and you for sharing it. Such a synchronicity that you posted this, and wishing you all the best on the journey. It feels like you are filling your well with life-ful and life affirming gigs that are naturally attuned to you. So great to see.

      1. Your compositions are excellent. You are an artist and your photos reflect your way of seeing, which is so much better than average.
