Read MoreIt’s been a dreamy week – and that’s how things are in Flagstaff in the summertime. Astrologers would say the recent eclipses, and then, planets changing signs this week could contribute to that feeling. Though this quote comes from the World War II-centered Mother Night (published in 1961), its wisdom and ugly truth still ring. Vonnegut (who often said “The only difference between Bush and Hitler is that Hitler was elected”) was righteously skeptical about war, having famously survived the only one worth fighting in his lifetime. Chakra 6: Ajna ~ To perceive, to know • Intuition • Sacred Trust • The Right to See • Light
Ajna means to perceive and command. Our perception of the world has a double-edge. As we perceive the world, that is how we command it. If we perceive the world as dangerous and scary, then we will command to be shown dangerous and scary things. If we perceive the world as a place for joy and adventure, then we will draw to us joy and adventure. We can choose how to view the world.
The 6th chakra is about perception, clarity of vision and thinking, and psychic ability. It is where we store and interpret our memories, perceive our dreams, and imagine our future. It is where we learn discernment – and the ability to detach ourselves personally from our life’s lessons.
