I love Big Star, listening to Big Star while walking in the pines, singing, singing, singing, performing, feeling like a boy even though I’m a girl, mixing up lyrics, the sun on my shoulders, breeze, riding in a car on a warm summer night with the windows down listening to music and loving where I am while feeling like I’m really far away because i’m so in the moment, I love when I was 11 years old—that entire summer, I love feeling ageless, I love being in the open fresh air, looking at the clouds, thinking about love and what I’m gonna do when I’m all grown up
