Steven Polito, hugely active in the gay community and creator of the character Hedda Lettuce, “The Queen of Green”, talks about Dharun Ravi, the Rutgers student who was recently charged with a hate crime for his actions toward his gay roommate,Tyler Clementi. Tyler committed suicide.

(This entire case also makes me wonder about Rutgers policy on roommates – and how they match people up. I have no idea how that goes, since I didn’t stay in a dorm when I went to college).
