March 2020 – Isolation Songs 5

Making and sharing music is about the only thing that feels normal right now. I am so blessed to be able to make music with my partner – sometimes it is hard for me to believe I turned my back on singing for fourteen years. I just love it so much.

Thank you for having a listen – we really hope it brightens your day. And thanks so much to the folks who have left us tips – it is so helpful on so many levels. We are so touched and grateful.

Big love, Everybody!

  1. You two really got down doing “What’s Done is done.” Now that you have introduced the mandolin and what looks like a travel Strat hanging on the wall behind you, you need to play them in some of your future Isolation Songs. Like a play, all weapons in the scene have to be used, all instruments in the video need to be played.

      1. A lefty? Do you have a Jimi Hendrix Strat? I’ve had to relearn to play guitar. I played flamenco guitar for years, but after two bouts with cancer, my fingertips are numb from chemo and weak with arthritis. I’ve been playing electric guitars, which are easier, but I fumble around a lot because I can’t feel the strings very well. A friend got me into building electric guitars, and I recently assembled a fretless Strat-style guitar that another friend named the Serengeti Strat. The fretless neck makes playing easier in many ways with super low action, but also a challenge because I have to be really accurate with my fingering. Surprisingly, I can play it quite well. I play in on song on the post called Silver and the Serengeti Strat.
