From a feeling to a thing

It happened. I made a stand alone piece of art! And I am thrilled!

While I am working on a massive project with almost a thousand moving parts, I am earnestly trying to get other pieces finished. 

I created an oil on cardboard painting. I was inspired by pen and ink drawings I made in my journal. I was listening to someone speaking and organic shapes wanted to happen. This painting stands on its own as a painting, and, it might also serve as a sketch for a large oil on canvas. 

This feels like a huge triumph for me. I’ll celebrate by sharing with you!
