THE GHOST OF TIANAMEN SQUARE

Love crawls on all fours    we’re all up in arms
For the truth what more do you dare?
The rifle nose…where the flower grows
at the heart of Tianamen Square

Tongues tied up in knots… roads blocked by robots
Into the abyss we stare…
The all-seeing eye..  that will not cry
at the sight.. of Tianamen Square

Hope swims for the shore.. in peaces we pray..
Without wings what more can you bear..?
A fallen soul… digs out from a hole..
with the truth of Tianamen Square

Words what are they worth?  Loose lips sink ships..
New chains a chill in the air..
A shackling device.. do two wrongs make a right
Asked the ghost of Tianamen Square

My dear I love your hate.
It tells me I’m free
One voice gone ..why should I care?
A slippery slope.. Til your neck feels the rope
at your own Tianamen Square
We still have hope..love conquers despair
Make it home your own Tianamen Square
Take it home, love your own Tianamen Square
