April Fool’s Journey 2020 – Justice

Every year, Kayleigh Jean from Falcons and Pentacles offers April Fool’s Journey – prompts for exploring the Major Arcana (the Hero’s Journey) through tarot card divination and a writing prompt. These are the cards I pulled for my own exploration – try pulling cards for yourself – or – get a reading from me.

Prompt for the Justice card: What am I attracting based on my attitudes and actions?

Wheel of Fortune and the Nine of Cups

Wheel of Fortune offers the choice for awareness into tendencies and patterns experienced in life, and through objective observation, what we can learn from them. It reminds me of an astrological chart, the layout of our natal planets shows us where we may have ease or challenges in our life, and the transits (movements of the planets) can give us a clue when specific parts of our chart might get lit up. When we understand the trends and possibilities of any given time period, we have the consciousness to make choices for our highest good.

Nine of Cups is pleasure and satisfaction for sure, it is the fulfillment of an emotional dream. There is something more to it than gratification, there is an integration of something bigger than ourselves – it is the reward for valuing and being committed to one’s own feelings. There is a divine nudge toward bliss in this card.

I am attracting growth and joy by becoming aware of what no longer works for me and taking new actions that honor and validate my feelings. I have learned that vulnerability is a super power that can open my life to deeper levels of sensation, emotion, abundance and manifestation.  Looking back over my years of trusting in the work on myself, I see it is paying off.

On a literal level – this draw is almost spooky! I study the zodiac and cycles of the moon — and have been practicing intention setting rituals during the new moon for over 20 years. Both the Cups in the tarot and the Moon in astrology represent our emotions and intuition. The Nine of Cups is also known as the “nine months card”. I am launching a workshop called Astro Luna Alchemy this week! The workshop explores the lunar power of manifestation through nine-month Lunar Gestation Cycles. I am planning to have Astro Luna Alchemy ready for the Taurus New Moon (April 22nd). My mind is a little bit blown!

Peace and love –

  1. Holly, I wrote a 9-part series on Tarot Birth Cards if you’re interested in the Twos (Justice being XI = 2) portion with the card expressing the heart weighed against Maat’s feather if you are interested — don’t want to spam your post, not “Just”ified. 🙂

      1. I thoroughly appreciate that, Holly! Thank you. Yes, it is. There’s a blog search bar a ways down on the right side, and when you type in 9-Part Tarot Birth Cards series a Heartbeat Excercise will probably come up as the 1st result, and then the 9-part Tarot Birth Card Series table of contents post will most likely appear as the 2nd or 3rd result.

I love your work as well. You have a vibrant and verdant take on things that I value!

  2. Love this! An Astro Luna Alchemy workshop sounds interesting.

9 of Cups: “There is a divine nudge toward bliss in this card.” Excellent higher octave expression interp!

And, in addition to your 9 of Cups and Moon the Moon being about emotion, you can as well attribute an emotional aspect of that to Justice as well — the Justice of the heart weighed against the feather of the goddess Maat, who personifies order, truth, and what is right. I’ve utilized that for Justice when creating my deck.
