Thursday Evening Tarot
I did it! A live reading on Facebook. We were going to do a zoom version so folks could see what a reading with me is like via zoom – but – change of plans. Luckily my friend Kar is also my roommate and part of my pandemic pod, so she and her dog Dexter joined me live.
Normally, my readings go for about 45 minutes to an hour – sometimes we don’t do celtic cross spreads, especially if there is a very specific topic. We may go deep into formulating questions for the topic instead.
Of course, readings are usually private. I never share readings with anyone but the person who is getting the reading! Kar wanted to get a reading from me and she offered to have it as a live reading.
We were both curious as to whether or not the group had an effect on the reading as well. How much of this reading is for everyone?
Sometimes, it is one step at a time. I have been putting my stuff out there and teaching classes over the last few months all online. There has been a learning curve, but each time I take a public action, there seems to be major growth – and clear messages as to what the next actions need to be.
When I was a fledging performer, my friend and veteran in the music business, Robert Butcher told me, “Every performance is like having ten rehearsals. It is how you grow.” That statement has proven to be true over the last (almost) three decades, and I go back to it again and again – before I actually take the leap of being in front of people (or a camera), and afterward, when I marvel at how much more insight I have gained by taking the risk.
And the risk, the public process, holds true not only for musical performances, but with teaching and seminars and art shows, too.
Action begets more action.
Here is the reading I gave Kar.
Of course, this morning, there was more insight to be had! Perfect for a chat over coffee!
Peace and love everyone!
Holly
