Music Monday – Looking Back and Looking Forward

I spent the last week peeling back emotional layers and facing big fucking fears. I am spent and I am happy.

I had no cell service. No wifi. I realize last week was the first time since 1998 I did not have cell phone reception!

When cell service resumed, the first thing I did was pull up the last bit of music I worked on. I was so happy it was Message from the Harbor. Kit showed me the song soon before I left on my retreat. In the video below, we had been playing with the song for about half an hour or so. I figured out harmonies and am still working out subtleties.

I am excited to get back to work! Werewolves of Brooklyn are talking about recording an album this fall.

I am so grateful I picked up music again after my music career got sidelined for a long while. I a back and I feel so alive.

Here are some of my favorites from playing with Paul. Most of these songs were from early in the pandemic, we had no idea what the hell was going on, and music was the only thing that seemed to be real.
