Broad and Wandering

Plum Doodle 383

journal fragments from May 15, 2025

It’s another beautiful bird-filled morning . . .

Love. Love. Love. Love. Love. Love. Love. Love. Love. Love. Love. Love. love love love love love love love love love.

I saw that someone spay painted a swastika on Donald Trump’s Hollywood Star. It is not known if it was painted by a fan or a detractor.
Oh.

I remember when there was no internet, when my mind was broad and wandering. Wandering. Oh. My mind broad and wandering.

Now, repetition. Pound. Repetition. Pound.
Repetition.
I will push back — push back with gratitude. Gratitude. Gratitude and wonder.

10,000 Plum Doodles Project

I often use scribbles as the genesis for a painting. These squiggles carry energy for me, and on their own, they tell a story. I call them plums because they are little treats for my imagination. I will continue adding to this project until I have reached 10,000 drawings.

John S. Hall’s 10,000 Poems Project inspired me – but rather than writing – I decided to collect my drawings. Sometimes I write when I doodle, and sometimes I share the writing as well.
