Some of you may have been wondering – What the heck happened to Holly? I haven’t heard from her! She hasn’t been around in a while . . . When is she coming back to kettle bells class?

Well, I’ve been busy making art—and these last few weeks (last month or so actually) have been very intense. I have so many ideas swirling in my head and body that I can barely keep up with creating them. (It’s as if almost 10 years of writing ideas down are finally coming to fruition—sometimes it’s hard to know where to begin). And, this weekend is the 2011 Fall Open Studio Tour, so producing has been a big focus.

I am part of the 9th Street Studios Artists Cooperative on 9th Street and 1st Avenue (near Euclid and a short stroll from the infamous Buffet Bar). More than half a dozen artists will be showing work this weekend.
Stop by for a visit at 9th Street Studios. Check out what I’ve done and what I’m working on. (More oil paintings, weavings, linocut prints and ornaments on the way). Come by for a chat. Meet me in person! Buy some art!
We’ll be serving refreshments and personality, Saturday and Sunday, November 12th and 13th, 11 am to 5 pm.

I’ll be showing paintings and prints – samples of my work are on this post. When I have “official” photos ready, I will repost. My partner, Matagi Sorensen, will be showing his fine art jewelry and prints. There’s a little something for everyone . . .
My studio is in the back, so don’t be shy about walking through the entire building space.
After this weekend, I promise (myself) a little more balance. At least sneak in more hikes, yoga, music, and kettle bells! And maybe a trip or two out of town.
Below is a virtual sample of some of my work . . .
