This time in America is intense. My friend Maya wrote about a time she lived in Washington DC and was harassed as men she knew stood by.  American Woman by Maya Devi Georg

I shared this with my sister Laura today. Laura is Director of a battered women’s shelter. 

So, I am working on not getting wound up about this – and had been doing a pretty good job. There is a lot of work to do, though. This is all the more reason for us to be strong and shine. Ya know that saying about playing small? No more!! Women are rising up. I am trying to keep my actions heart-centered, otherwise I feel powerless. 

Still, I couldn’t say nothing – I mean, I live in AZ and Flake has a habit of talking the high road, but not taking it. And those women who confronted him, they cut to the heart of it alright.

By the end of the day, Jeff Flake called for an FBI Investigation. He didn’t vote against him though, but it’s delayed for now. SO much can happen in a day!
