April Fool’s Journey 2020 – The Fool

tarot card - the fool

Every year, Kayleigh Jean from Falcons and Pentacles offers April Fool’s Journey – prompts for exploring the Major Arcana (the Hero’s Journey) through divination though tarot cards and a writing prompt. These are the cards I pulled for my own exploration – try pulling cards for yourself – or – get a reading from me.

Prompt for the Fool: What is my leap of faith?

The High Priestess and the Hanged Man

tarot cards - high priestess and hanged manHigh Priestess is about trusting deeply and honoring the unseen. The journey begins with a turning inward and excavating a rich inner life and creative potential for flashes, dreams, and a knowingness that come from Divine Source.

The Hanged Man synthesizes the shadowy messages of the High Priestess from a new perspective. Sometimes the new perspective comes from a place that begins in distress or even a place of boredomvulnerability and disruption reorients ideas around ego control and reality itself. A sacrifice of old beliefs or automatic reactions opens the consciousness for seeing new paths ahead. Moving beyond the comfort zone.

The most important and successful decisions I have made in my life are when I have made choices from a deep “knowing” that moves my whole spirit. It is a wisdom that feels undeniable – even if it is not conventional, or something that even makes sense in the culture at large. (High Priestess) Often, there is an undeniable sense that my world is, or is about to be, turned upside-down (Hanged Man) – and that the “leap of faith” is inevitable.

Both cards indicate that my leap of faith comes from wise and creative internal urgings that become clear when I have the willingness to disrupt my normal patterns (or that they are disrupted for me by external events) and observe and explore my inner landscape for clues and answers toward my next step.

Creative Leaps

In my creative endeavors, the leap arises from deep focus and a suspension of the ego for the highest good of the project. That is when energy from a source so deep within that it is beyond self wells up and the result is better than my conscious imagining. When I look back at a finished piece, whether it be music, writing, or a painting, I often have no memory of actually creating it.

If you would like a tarot reading, I am offering my services during this time of transition and isolation for $25.00 – that is half my usual rate. Readings last for about 45 minutes.

To book a reading, contact me and we will make it so! I will respond within 24 hours.

Be well! So much love!
