I am addicted to Umbrella Academy (Netflix). I tend to stay away from TV, but lately it’s been nice to sit back and be entertained – and damn – Umbrella Academy is good. And the soundtrack – outstanding. Among the many great songs – Golden Brown – which led me on a trip to visiting The Stranglers.

  1. the classic stranglers line-up.
    there is a ticket on the fridge door bought back in march last year for the stranglers in newcastle 2020…of course, it came and went; never happened (and d. greenfield died, too in the interim). i purchased the ticket because an acquaintance of mine is obsessed w/ the band – it is literally all he talks about! i’ve caught the band several times over the decades but tbh i didn’t hold out too much hope for the gig anyway… not because of the plague, but because in my heart my love of the stranglers is based in the long ago and i didn’t want to taint the present or the future. or whatever.
    get a grip on yourself. xo

    1. thought you might have some Stranglers history! So sad the plague got Dave Greenfield.

      I get not wanting to taint your love of the Stranglers. I have the same feeling about NYC – I love the place from long ago, not from the giant Disney shopping mall it has become.

      I’ve finished my Umbrella Academy binge and have an ambitious project I need to get out of my system now. No TV for a while. It was a nice break, now back to the real fantasy world.
