  1. The Kinks are great. I taught our African Gray parrot to sing “Lola” when we had a cat named Lola. He’s made up a lot of variations on the them of Lola.

  2. Wonderful! Yes, I think I recall Nick making appearances in your writing. And hey! Ray just shining his light wherever he goes – rock on!

The Kinks are likely my favorite band of all time, at the very least, in my top 3.

  3. Ahh, man! Fanx, Holly! All good stuff here ^. I’m particularly fond of Some Mother’s Son. My dear friend, Nick Booth (who occasionally turns up in my scribblings), spent a year living in Muswell Hill a few years back … dear lord, it’s all you ever heard out of him…”Oh, I went out to buy some milk/eggs/get a newspaper/blahblahblah the other day and bumped into Ray.” !! Still, he is a big Kinks fan, too and it pleased me no end to know that Ray could be found moochin’ about at the newsagents and still be cool enough to pass the time of day with anyone. xx
