Writing Prompt 207 – what if it is easy?

Prompt

“Is there, we wonder, some virtue in being difficult?” – Janet W. Hardy and Dossie Easton

On Writing

Breathe the sentence in. Exhale the sentence. Inhale and exhale each word. Now inhale and exhale the sentence. Then, go!

There is only one rule, keep your hand moving.

Don’t worry about grammar, spelling, or punctuation. If you feel stuck, keep writing anyway. Try going back to the prompt and write it out until other words arise, then write those—or, repeat the last word you wrote again and again until new words appear—or, write, “I am stuck,” or “I can’t think of anything,” as long as you keep your hand moving. Writing is physical, the words will move through your body and come out of your hand—just keep it moving.

Now go – for five, ten, fifteen minutes . .

  1. When things are not easy, the external events force us to do our work.If we have to do a difficult job without any assistance, we work extra hours to achieve the goal.Maybe we have to face a lot of challenges, but then at the end we feel we have progressed more than we had expected.Difficult time teaches us to grow exponentially. However, if everything is easy, the responsibility is totally on us to make things happen.Easy times give us lots of options, thus distracting us in many directions. If the easy times come after a lot of hard work, then we should congratulate ourselves for the work done well!
