At the new moon I began chanting to Lakshmi, the Goddess of Prosperity, Well-being and the embodiment of Beauty.

A year ago, I was experiencing Lakshmi this way:

When I meditate, I try to visualize Lakshmi —
her eyes gazing upon me,
her lips slightly smiling,
gold coins falling from her hands all around me,
her robes enveloping me,
silky and soft and red.
Sometimes I dance with her
and Ganesh,
we are spinning in circles,
laughing.

I’m looking forward to more dancing with Lakshmi this year and for the years to come.
