It’s been a creative reward kind of day.
Ultimate creativity – Life!!! It is Mom’s birthday! She is 79 today! Happy birthday Mom!!
I got to talk to her on the phone – and it sounded like she had a bunch of visitors hanging out with her on her porch. She also got lots of presents. Yay!
Paul and I sent her some songs – The Morning of My Life by the Bee Gees, Chances by Paul, and What’s Done is Done by Jack White.
It’s been a while since Paul and I played together – we are so much more relaxed on these videos than we were months ago! It was hard to relax while hearing constant news about the pandemic, and then wondering how in heck we were going to pay bills – but – we just kept on going. We are always going to be figuring out ways to thrive – might as well enjoy the way.
This has been a rough summer, Paul was missing his dog Duke fiercely today, but making music helped him feel better today.

Also, another creative reward! My painting Rebirth of Icarus has a new home. I delivered it today. It’s pretty darn exciting! The Sky Pixel series is getting a lot of love.
After six months of hanging in a gallery that was closed for six months – they are free to fly! And Icarus flew today!
It is now hanging in a lovely historic home in downtown Flagstaff. A beautiful spot and a deserving owner.
After the owner and I hung the painting, we talked about writing and communication and finding the words. Creative process. Building skill. And music – adapting to the world right now, and how thrilling it is to play.
What can I say about this day? Music, art, a stroll outdoors?Yes!
It’s easy to feel grateful and hopeful today. I’ll take it.

Congratulations all around! Excellent title, “Rebirth of Icarus”. Your painting’s liberation to its new historic home must have let loose some thick vibes in the air as when I took a break from a several week writing deadline, my “break” was more writing… about Daedalus and Icarus. Interestingly enough, your painting walked out the door and went home, and my new “article from a break”… is hanging out in the limbo of being submitted along with the main one. Hey, shift change for the guards. 🙂

I’ve been thinking about you lately – it’s so very cool and mysterious when creative threads weave together from afar! I love it!
I am still trying to comment on your site, and wordpress is still glitching.
I feel like once again, change. And of course it feels that way as we are in mutable Virgo season. It’s been hot, too hot for Flagstaff, for weeks and weeks. Today, the wind has picked up and the air is cool – as it should be. It’s quick in these mountain towns – winter moving in. But at the moment, the shift is perfect.

I don’t know what’s up. I can comment and like on the WordPress version, though when it takes me out to read a full post to the website version, sometimes I can’t even like my own website that I’m signed in to. Mystery.
“I’ve been thinking about you lately – it’s so very cool and mysterious when creative threads weave together from afar! I love it!” Ditto. Very much ditto. I appreciate the card you to sent. It made its way to my altar and sits in great company with a couple of others… one of which is my fave painting by Monet. It’s like a Tarot card of a painting. There has not been a single question I’ve asked it that it doesn’t respond to. “Bridge At Argenteuil.” https://www.nga.gov/collection/art-object-page.61374.html

I love Monet! What an honor to have the card on your altar next to Monet.

SURPRISE, you have great taste! 🙂 LOL
It’s a celestial groove feeling star you painted on the card, a XVII The Star feeling kind of star. Keeper. Plus, it has heart inside that celestial groove image.
