Music Monday – All Soul’s Day Continuations

Some more spooky music for you . . .

On a personal note

Working Backwards – finding a path during the pandemic

2020 has been something else!!!

I recently visited my friend Gina, the original drummer for my band the Lofi Sofias. It was a ten hour drive to Colorado – the first time I left Arizona since coming back from Florida in January 2020. Over ten months ago!

I feel like I want to move. It was so nice to be in a place that’s green, and is near mountains, and has trees, and lawns full of fruits and vegetables. I am so happy to see Gina lives in a beautiful, abundant place – and that her roommates are really great. A week there and she already has about a dozen friends. (Do you know how long it took me to make a new friend in Flagstaff?? A little over a year. Sheesh. This is a cold town – slow to move on relationships here).

Of course, my big project is here in AZ – the Lofi Sofias. It’s my anchor – I love making music. But since the lockdown – everything else I do is online. All the live gigs have been canceled. I am trying to view this year as a long slow reset button – what will the reinvention of self be??

For now – Gina silkscreened a Lofi Sofias shirt for me and gave it to me the night before I left her place to come back home!

I feel so glamorous!

It was fun to do a little shoot. I needed a tension release! And, on a tiny note, I need to get new leggings (holes in the legs). (I’ve been holding off on buying anything but music equipment).

Now to practice my guitar!

Peace and love!

Holly

  1. Holy leggings add to the reverence of your beautiful photo shoot. Selfies? Or did Paul take them? Either way, fun photos. I would love to see and hear more of your guitar playing.

    1. Thanks! I set up a tripod and put on a timer. 🙂

I had a really good guitar lesson today – I am still pretty new but getting better all the time. I’ll be playing on a few upcoming songs soon. 🙂
