I love the rain today!

It’s been a slow restart after my show at the Kingston Pop Museum.

I needed summertime time with friends upstate and Mother Nature and my family – and now it’s time to regroup.

Getting back to the work has been slow – visits from friends who go way back (over 30 years) and lots of doing stuff in the east village and really HOT weather has been a lot to process physically and emotionally and I’m been exhausted.

Today, I worked in the morning and had a mid-afternoon nap. The sun was blaring and hot. After I got up from my nap, the clouds rolled in and heavy rain came down.

I love the rain! I love this kind of weather. Bring it! Perfect for afternoon tea and organizing!

In the meantime, my movement is slow, but I am moving!

On to the next aspect aspect of work.

orange stares © Holly Troy 7.2023Just finished the series of orange stars. Now to cut, sand, prime, paint and finish 648 more stars!

Sometimes making something out of nothing is like creating an entire universe. That kind of creating takes a lot of energy.

Shifting gears can be sticky – but it’s so worth it!

I’ll be interspersing this massive long-term project with short-term work – so I can continue making a living as an artist in the meantime!

I hope no matter what is happening in your life, you make time to do the things you love – and to keep moving – no matter how slow or tiny the steps.

Peace and love!

Shine on – you are all stars!
