2025 February Update

I’m finally back to work!

For a little over a year, I had not (except for a short period last summer) been painting. Home and studio base were unstable. And, too, as my mother’s illness progressed, I let go of productivity and surrendered into caring for her. Mom died a month before the election. I am grateful I was with her.

Now, I see light and time in a new way. I’m learning how to be again. Learning is slow. I am surprised and not surprised by this.

Since January 20, 2025, I closed my Meta accounts. I am reading books. I am painting. I am writing. I am looking at art. I am engaging with friends. The short of it – it’s been good to be gone from that place. 

Since the new year, I’ve resumed my painting practice. I have nine paintings in process, with one almost finished and more waiting to begin.

I am Divine Love – a Playful Affirmation of the True Nature of Self

I taught this at the Kingston O+ Festival.  It was so much fun!

I have been making videos focusing on the mantra “Aham Prema” since 2021 – this class expands on the idea that we are Divine Love. We experiment with the energy of Divine Love through playful movement, mantra, imagination meditation, and relaxation.

I am actively looking for a space where I can teach this class in the Hudson Valley and may create an online course as well. Stay tuned!

Co-Creating the Cosmos

This is a monthly class that works with the energy of the New Moon through movement and asana, meditation, visualization, and breath. Each month, classes will have different themes, based on the qualities of the zodiac sign the new moon occupies for the month – as well as any overarching astrological themes happening around the time of the new moon.

I’ll be doing this online, and I hope in-person as well. Same as above, shopping around to see where I can teach. 

Ongoing Creative Projects:

Big Star Project – 972 individual pieces of art, based on the energetic centers of the human body. 

10,000 Plum Doodles – Tiny drawings.

Tarot Contemplations – writing and art making / longterm project based on the tarot.

Other things – I am not ready to talk about these yet.

Our world is in a precarious place. Fascism has arrived. Each day brings new horrors. 

I’m doing my best with what I’ve got — mostly making pocket universes and objects out of imagination, knowledge, and skills I’ve acquired through study, practice, and adventures over my lifetime. 

We are here. We have so much to offer one another!
