Constellation Creation Continuation . . .
Three weeks until spring! Pisces season! All the growth of winter happening in the cold, under ground, inside the trees is swelling, surging, rising. We are in those final remaining moments before everything wakes up!
Last week the Hudson Valley had a snowstorm so big and icy I couldn’t get out for almost four days. This week temperatures are reaching 50ºF and it is raining. Fresh cool air. Damp cold mud. Dawning of spring – almost!
That means it’s getting warm enough to resume the Stars Project. Cutting and sanding happen outside – so will the painting for this next swath of stars.
Last year I got to look at the stars. No painting of stars happened. I collected and cut more wood. I need over 600 more pieces – I might have enough now.
This was the stars assessment as of late spring (June 10) 2024 . . .
ramble on
I’m excited to make headway on this project in the coming months.
So much has happened since I created these videos – the main things being:
- My mom died – and I am experiencing life in a dilated trippy way. Nothing feels exactly the same and so much feels new. Grief is slow. I’m carefully choosing how I will move forward.
- I’ve moved four times. Since I’ve been back to the east coast, home base has been temporary. I am happy I will be where I am for a while. My next move may be out of the country.
- I have resumed painting. (The painting in the background of the video by my guitar is finished now – and is called Embrace.)
