Last summer I performed with Bhānaka Sangha – a polyrhythmic mantra choir – at the annual Hudson in Concert in Hudson, New York. It was the last performance my mom got to see before she died.
She liked to see my shows – I’m glad she made it. She was right in the front. It was around 100º F (104º F during sound check). I was worried about her – grateful she survived the heat!
That was a blast.
Since my mom died and since the election, I’ve been up in the air on what’s next for me. I feel like I’m figuring out what it is I love all over again (even though I know what I love – everything feels different). I’m being gentle with myself. Clarity and groundedness are slow coming – and yet – both are coming along (I think).
Om shanti.
