The Source of Supergirl’s Power

This painting began in 2023 when I was preparing work for my show at the Kingston Pop Museum. 

After the show at the museum, I switched my focus to the Big Star Project for the remainder of my time in the Brooklyn Studio. I left the studio in November, 2023.

I spent much of 2024 looking for a solid place in which to live and work – and also – taking care of my mom. I did do some art making – put some projects in motion – but mostly I took care of foundational stuff. It was not a time for making.

Now I feel like pieces are building up. Several are happening at once – and I like it that way. I paint with oil and in layers. 

Patience is a lifelong practice.
