Dream: Califon, NJ. Riding my bicycle uphill on the road where it curves between the bridge and the gas station. Sky is steel grey blue. Thick. It has weight. Leaves are green.

Somewhere behind that road I am talking to Marion — visiting her house. A ranch-style house. I’m on my bicycle. I tell Marion I’m probably going to move away — no community, I can’t get work, I can’t find a place to live. She gets it.

Sky is thick. Green leaves. Green.

I ride to my friend’s house.Another ranch. Pink rooms. Yellow room. Salmon. Mustard. I’m visiting artists. A———. They tell me soneone is moving out. We are making music.

Patio.

A long road. I should stay. I should stay. Music.

I see Marion again. I tell her I might stay. I’m on my bicycle — I’ve already decided, mostly.

Body. Pain. Right side. Thinking I might get into a myofascial release program. Just another part of my life.

Head to toe tired of pain.

Tired of pain. Work out the pain, help other people.

10,000 Plum Doodles Project 

I often use scribbles as the genesis for paintings. These squiggles carry energy for me, and on their own, they tell a story. I call them plums because they are little treats for my imagination. I will continue adding to this project until I have reached 10,000 drawings.

John S. Hall’s 10,000 Poems Project inspired me – but rather than writing – I decided to collect my drawings. Sometimes I write when I doodle, and sometimes I share the writing as well.
