As the moon pulls the tide, what pulls you?

On Monday, March 15th, fluid Pisces new moon ushers in the dawn of the vernal equinox on March 20th. Liquid Pisces moon mirrors what is happening all around us. Spring is coming! Beneath snowdrifts water rushes and soaks into the earth; melting icicles drip from eaves; and the sucking sound of mud rises from beneath our feet. Water equals movement. We feel the need to move in our bodies, it’s time to come out of our winter slumber.

Winter is a time for thinking and planning, for using the dark hours to dream. As spring approaches, we long for warmer weather so we may go outside and enjoy the sun. Right now, we are just waking up. Memory of our dreams is strongest between sleeping and waking. We are in the perfect moment to recall our dreams!

Think about your dreams. Have you ever become aware that you were dreaming while you were dreaming? Have you ever changed what is happening in your dream (or nightmare) to make it more pleasant? Have you ever given yourself (or acquired) super human or magical powers – such as the ability to fly, or make yourself disappear, or change your body into another form?

Pisces New Moon is a powerful time to consider your longings – even if they seem like far-fetched fantasies. As the moon pulls the tide, what pulls you?

What have you been dreaming? What are your waking dreams?

How do your dreams pertain to your life?

What would you like to make happen?

What is your special power, or what kind of power can you give yourself to make your dreams come true?

As we transition from winter to spring allow your deepest dreams to bubble up to the surface of your consciousness. You may want to create the intention to remember your dreams during the New Moon (March 15th). Write out answers to the above questions without thinking much about them. Just let the writing flow. Give yourself five or ten minutes per question and then, put the writing away without reading it.

On the vernal equinox (March 20th), look at what you have written. Does your writing surprise you? Is there anything you have written that excites you? Is there anything you’d like to add to or change about your dreams?

Imagine what it will be like when your dreams come true. Imagine that they are happening right now. Notice your surroundings. What do you see, feel, taste, hear and smell? Who is with you? Where are you? Let the scene be vivid and alive. Now, give your vision over to the growing energy of the waxing moon and the quickening of the spring equinox. Give thanks. Your dreams are growing into something more amazing and beautiful than you could ever imagine.
