My colleague, Sydney Francis, and I are working on a large project regarding sexuality and our connection to our bodies, one another and the planet. Sydney posted some of her ideas this morning on the underlying themes to our work. Here are a few:

• Our medium for all experience is physical.
• The body is innocent. (this is not a Christian or Catholic belief; rather this a belief I have learned and chosen from studying the Lakota Medicine Wheel with with Reverend Rosalyn Bruyere.)
• The body is sacred.

We are beginning to build a “body” of work, through study and experience, and ritual. She writes on the first chakra and responsibility to community:
