Just the Facts, Subjectively

I created a post earlier today, inspired by my friend’s child going missing (she’s found and safe now). It brought me back to my own history and living on the streets.

I called the post Flashbacks, Family Secrets, and Forgiveness. It’s a list of confessions, impressions of, my family history. After posting, I shifted it from public to private.

I spent hours writing that post – why did I switch it to private? I need to tell the stories as stories, period. Good stories. Close and personal and detached. Maybe fiction, maybe fact.

By writing that post, I came up with ideas for what I want to do next in how I will tell the stories!

Perhaps I will share the post again, maybe as I begin to tell the stories as I want to tell them. For now, I am inspired to write in a way I haven’t done in a long while!

I’m finding my way back to writing! I’m thrilled.

Have a lovely weekend.

Love one another. Let people you love know you love them.

Make some art.

Send a handwritten note to a stranger.

Talk to your plants.

Peace and love,

Holly

  1. Yeah, I caught that, H Troy. It was too up close for me to just like and I thought I’d bide my time and mull it over, try to find something to say…so, I’m glad that it’s private now because that means that I can say… I liked it. Peas xo
