Virgo New Moon Solar Eclipse
Sunday, September 21st, 2025
Virgo 29º05′ – 5:53 pm EST
The Virgo New moon Solar Eclipse happens at the very last degrees of Virgo and in less than a day, we tip over into Libra Season, which is also the Equinox – in the northern hemisphere we enter autumn.
- How can we bring our Virgo lessons into our relationships / our partnerships?
- What do we need to change? Change is coming, how do you want to direct it?
- What are you refining?
Think back to the themes from the last solar eclipses were at 29º Virgo:
September 22, 2006
September 23, 1987
September 11, 1968
Virgo highlights:
- work, labor, health and food issues.
- focus on details, a specific task, or workers
- clean up and organization energy
- reparation and adjustment for specific needs
- service calls
- pets calling for our attention
Thing about what you have learned over the last month. What Virgo themes have come up for you?
Virgo creates perfection through action. Gratitude refines your life.
Death XIII
Deep change that marks how we experience life “before” and life “after”. No going back. Clarity. A 180º turn. Rebirth. Their may be feelings of grief.
Nine of Pentacles reversed
How do you feel about your environment, your finances and your health. We can’t take our wealth with us when we die.
A reassessment of what wealth means to you. A reassessment of what a good life means to you.
Eight of Wands
Movement is quick!
Summary
A change of priorities that is supported by something greater than yourself.
Virgo’s job is to diagnose and ritualize.
Virgo asks . . .
- What do I see?
- What do I hear?
- What is the order in this chaos?
- What does my gut tell me?
- What if the tiniest tweak sparked the best possible outcome?
- What is the perfect ritual for this situation?
- What if I am of service?
- What if everything is perfect exactly as it is?
Free Write
To prepare for the new moon cycle, consider free-writing for 5 or 10 minutes on each question.
Free-writing is simply deciding on a time frame to write and write on the prompt without stopping for the time you have chosen. Even if you meander off-topic, keep writing. If you get stuck, you can write – “I’m stuck” or write the prompt out again (and again and again if necessary) until new words flow. The trick is to keep your hand moving for the time frame you have decided on. Don’t worry about grammar or punctuation, just write.
The flow of writing let’s you get past your inner critic. Allow yourself to do the writing without judgment. You might find your responses surprise you.
Using the Moon for Co-creating with the Cosmos
NEW MOON – Time to use your imagination. Unseen potentials. Seed. Set Intentions.
When setting intentions, phrase them as if they have already happened or are happening. These phrases are connected with and you may want to use them in your intentions:
- I ritualize . . .
- I diagnose . . .
- I classify . . .
- I serve . . .
- I discern . . .
- I utilize . . .
- I perfect . . .
Take advantage of this time to explore the patterns and underlying order in the (apparent) chaos.
Peace and love!

This year – cosmic changes are big.
All the outer planets of our solar system are changing signs, and we are feeling it. The slower moving outer planets – especially Pluto, Neptune, and Uranus often portend cultural changes.
There is a saying – “How we perceive the world is how we receive the world.”
We have choice — we are not only shaped by our culture, we are also the builders of our culture.
Despite all the changes that are happening in the collective, we still have choice, and tarot can help us see our choices.
We are creators.
Tarot is a powerful tool in the creative process. Receiving a reading is a way of actively collaborating with the cards, the reader/interpreter, and universal energies.
We are co-creators of our reality.
