New Moon in Cancer asks you to get Personal in a Big Way

This is our second lunar lesson in Cancer! I think the universe wants to make sure we get the point of the Cancer new moon energy.

Cancer is about the personal, home, what we nurture. On the zodiac wheel, Cancer is the opposite of Capricorn. Capricorn is the structure of our society, and with Pluto moving through it, we are experiencing the deconstruction of the old order.

• On a personal level, what kind of world do you want to live in? Is that personal dream also uplifting for the collective?
• Where in the world is more nurturing needed?
• Where are you leaking emotional energy? 

As the new moon in Cancer swiftly moves into Leo (but not until after it opposes Saturn in Capricorn), we will explore the energy of water to fire. And with fire, we will pay some attention to Mars. Assertive Mars just moved direct and is in Aries, the child of the zodiac. We will explore how to shift Mars’ warrior energy from aggression, anger, and irritation to empowerment, courage, and passion. This is important – as Mars will be in Aries for six months – and squaring the planets in Capricorn. We need to build resilience now for possible challenges in the coming months.

• We will explore the energy of maternal New Moon Cancer to encourage Mars to step into the higher form of Warrior. Where are you feeling frustration rising in you, and how can you give it an outlet without being destructive?
• What is your anger trying to tell you? How can you act in a constructive way?

Finally, we will look at Neptune in Pisces in a sextile with Jupiter – urging us to expand on our deepest dreams. We will use that creative intuitive energy for big vision intention setting with the fertile energy of the New Moon.
