Curiosity is Powerful
Sometimes it’s hard to believe I was 23 – but here is proof. And boy – what a year!
I was working full-time, began college full-time (I figured out to pay for it and was maintaining a 4.0), practiced with my band three nights a week, made all the band fliers and hung them, too, and I had my own apartment. And I diligently did my vocal exercises. And I was clean and sober.
(I give my young self a big hug and a pat on the back. “You did good, kid. It’s OK that you didn’t learn guitar at that time as well – you were pretty occupied.”)
It’s amazing what a person can do when they are doing what they love.
I’m learning from this person who was me. It took a lot for me to get where I was at that time – and I was so hungry for more more more. Today I am so much slower and figuring out what it is that I love all over again. I don’t need to continue adding to list of when and where I’ve tripped over obstacles – I’m here, I’m alive, and I’m continually growing!
I am a tenacious little Capricorn – and we are known to be the late bloomers of the zodiac.
Now I’m looking forward to what my future has in store . . .
