Moving Along Update

I’ve been on the road for three months as my little cottage / painting studio gets upgraded to being a year-round livable space. 

I’m grateful while I am on the road, I have a nice place to be for June. I  grateful for Qi Gong. I am grateful for the love in my life. I’m grateful for my friends. 

I want to say all of this is easy – it hasn’t been. I’m unsettled. I want to paint. I want home. So much of this process – all the change and family and instability can feel crushing. The whole way with the house has been push and pull – maybe I’ll write an essay about it – but for now, I just have to remind myself to breathe and put one foot in front of the other. 

I learned of delays with the building yesterday evening, and I woke up at sunrise with a stress stomach ache. Rather than lie in bed ruminating and feeling helpless, I got up, made coffee, meditated, wrote in my journal, made an action plan for dealing with both the contractor and my family, did laundry, watered the garden, posted to the Forbidden Word Project, did a core workout, had breakfast, and played with the cats. 

It’s not even 9 am yet. 

This is an adventure! Every day! Everything is part of the trip.

My stomach ache is gone. 

I’m heading out to Qi Gong soon. While I practice, I’ll think – “God I love this! God I love being embodied! God, this is my life and I am so happy right now!”  

While I’m on the road – work is inconsistent – sometimes I work, sometimes I don’t. So I have offerings.

Creative and Esoteric Arts

The Art Studio Sale comes to an end at the Solstice. All my work is being consolidated as I prepare for the next chapter.

Sky Pixel and Buddha Beach are the last of my Arizona paintings. I am informed by my environment. I am informed by how I move in the world – and how the world is moving. The color, themes and shapes are changing – I’m excited to see what comes next.

All my personal moving and shifting has given me the chance to do deep behind-the-scenes research and work. I’ve been swimming in tarot study for the last few years. There is so much more to come regarding meditation and my astro/tarot investigations! Per usual, I’m allowing a slow brew.
