Creating it and soaking it in
Acknowledge and keep the love flowing! In July’s Co-Creating with the Cosmos, we talked about creating a more nurturing world.
Caroline W. Casey says:
The moon part of us says we can measure a culture’s evolution by whether that society protects, nurtures, and reveres its children, its elders, the environment, and all growing things. By that measure, the modern world is insane: those things that traditional cultures would have cared for are not merely ignored, but slung-shot out into vulnerability. This collective insanity is reflected in each one of our (illusorily) private emotional lives as turbulence and angst. Often, when an apparently minor incident unleashes a tide of strong emotion, it is a sign that fiercely protective Mother goddess in us has been aroused.
The structures of the dominant culture are shifting – remember you have a part in building the reality you want to live in. We have the power to create a society that “protects, nurtures, and reveres its children, its elders, the environment, and all growing things.”
We talked about Mars in Aries as well, and asked the question: How do we nurture the warrior part of ourselves so that we can be effectively responsive rather than reactive?
Mars is not only the warrior – Mars is also about desire. Are you able to see desire as pure energy?
These questions are still up for exploration:
- Have you done your spiritual good housekeeping to create an environment in which nourishing can take place?
- Have you found and healed the parts of yourself and your culture that have experienced homelessness and exile?
- Have you given thanks to your Mother(s)?
- What part of yourself do you need to feed?
- Who and/or what in your culture has been neglected and needs nourishing and protection?
- What do you want to bring to life?
This is an excerpt from July’s class – it is an embodiment and visualization exercise I call Soul Womb Dance and Sending Love to Your Mother.
Feel free to share your impressions in the comments below!
Peace and love, everybody.
