FIRST QUARTER – Seedling pushes through dirt. Nurture, observe, Review, weed, take action. 

Scorpio is about depth of feeling.

• Are your experiences and relationships deeply satisfying?
• Do you feel safe to be yourself – or do you have to hide your real feelings?
• Can you allow your depth of feeling to be a door (or many doors) into an expansive reality?
• How are you relating to your intentions? Are they for the highest good of all? 

We are all connected – the highest good for all is the highest good for you.

Make sure what you are keeping to yourself isn’t holding you back from a richer experience. 

Are you holding on due to fear? Do you believe:

• I will never have more than this;
• this is mine and no one else can have it;
• all people want is my stuff or my money or my body, and or;
• I need to hide the real me in order to be safe.

If the above questions ring true for you – what needs to change? Can you envision what your life would look like if the opposite were true?

• I am valuable and deserving just by being alive.
• My work is valuable.
• My life overflows with abundance.
• I love generosity and being generous.
• I receive.
• People value my feelings.
• I am safe to be myself.

Sometimes we do need to retreat in order to build strength. If you are healing — physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually, financially – you may need to retreat. Retreat time is a good time to review your values. It is also perfect for the lunar square (quarter moon) and the current Mercury retrograde*. The Leo questions from last week are great for this time, with the addition of “who” and maybe exploring the opposite questions, too. 

Here is the revised list – write on each one for five or ten minutes, stream-of-consciousness (no editing or stopping – just go): 

• What do I love? / What do I fear?
• What if I followed my heart? / What if I went against my heart?
• What brings me joy? Who brings me joy? / What brings me sorrow? Who brings me sorrow?
• What brings me vitality? Who brings me vitality? / What drains me? Who drains me?
• What if I acted on my creative self-expression? / What if I did not act on my creative self-expression?
• What makes me feel like a Star? / What makes me feel like a Black Hole?

These questions clarify. How do they apply to your Leo New Moon intentions?

After responding, go for a walk or dance or do movement that you enjoy. Pentacles require physicality. Time is nature is edifying. 

*Mercury retrograde is a time to review with “re” words. Use this time to slow down and look at your life. Mercury’s retrograde period right now is July 18th to August 11th, 2025. Note: “Reaction” can be a big Mercury retrograde word. Try to shift react to respond otherwise, there may be making amends later. Here are a few words that may come up for you (there are hundreds of “re” words – these are a few that came up for me).
